Twikini
A couple of months ago I bought a HTC Touch Diamond. (The so called iPhone Killer). Great phone and because it runs on Windows Mobile there are a lot of great apps available for it. One of these apps is a Twitter Client called Twikini.
Most Twitter clients on my phone can’t show me the whole message. In worst case they can’t even present it in a nice looking interface. This app does both and comes with a cool bird sound to notify you when there’s a new twit.
It’s baked with twitpic integration which does not crash on my 3.2 Megapixel pictures like other clients like tiny twit. Comes with URL shortening software and if you listen to your music on your cell phone you can post them directly to twitter without any fuzz.
You can download it from http://www.trinketsoftware.com/Twikini.

If you find yourself on a linux system try out one of these, inside the terminal for a little bit of fun. It appears that most of them also work on OSX.

Re-Enable Hibernation in Vista
When you run the disk cleanup wizard in Vista you may have noticed that the Hibernation is missing from Vista. This is due to a known bug in Vista that is till today still not fixed.
Turning it back on is a very simple procedure. Just go to the command line (go to start and type in the big white search bar ‘cmd’ if you don’t know how to get to the command line) and type following line.
powercfg /hibernate on
Its possible that you have to restart your computer or change the energy settings to hibernate again. But now you’ll be able to select it.
For the dutch speaking reader Hibernate is Sluimerstand in Vista not Slaapstand which is Stand-By.
Stop beeps in VMWare
When you are using VMWare with somthing like Windows Server 2003 you can get these anoying beeps. Everybody who ever had these will know what I’m taking about. But there’s a simpel way to stop the madness.
Open a command line and insert.
net stop beep
Now you can continue work in all peace. If you’ll noticed any other solutions let me now in the comments.
Multimedia 4 Project – Rodenbach
In the second semester of the second year each student was asked to make a interactive flash application based on video. This assignment had to be done in teams of 2 and finished before the examinations in June.
First steps toward finishing this project in a successfully mater we had to pick a cultural or tourism area to base the site on. Here for we’ve taken a map of the area and looked which subjects were geographical most interesting between me and mine partner Wannes Wittevrongel’s place. He lived in Bruges and I near Ypres, so we picked something that was between those two location and also easily accessed from our school in Kortrijk. Then it was that we stumbled upon Roeselare who had a very interesting and historical brewery not far from the train station. This is how Rodenbach became or primary subject for our flash video site.
Now we had a subject, we still needed green light from or teachers and the company itself. Which we got without any trouble. The teacher found it a fun and interesting subject but there was a second group who also had Rodenbach in mind. The people from Rodenbach were also very cooperative, with only some restriction, that we didn’t disturb the tour groups and weren’t granted access to the brewery itself because of hygienic reasons.
Next steps of the process were brainstorming session, writing the script, story board, designing the look and feel for the project and after all the preparations the filming itself.
